Dr. Yei-San Hsieh: I, Dr. Yei-San Hsieh, have served as the attending doctor of the Thoracic Surgery Department at China Medical University Hsin-Chu Hospital since July 2025.

I graduated from the School of Medicine, National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University in 1997. I completed my thoracic surgery training at National Taiwan University Hospital (2002–2004) and served as an attending surgeon at Shin Kong Wu Ho-Su Memorial Hospital (2004–2012) and Taoyuan General Hospital (2012–2025).

In 2009, I completed a visiting fellowship with Dr. Joe S. Friedberg at the Presbyterian Medical Center of the University of Pennsylvania, focusing on pleural mesothelioma and lung photodynamic therapy. My major interests include thoracic surgery, trauma surgery, critical surgical care, and the development of transbronchial photodynamic therapy for peripheral lung cancers.
