We, the Publisher and Editor of OncoTargets and Therapy, are issuing an Expression of Concern for the published article.

Following publication of this article, concerns were raised regarding the integrity of Figure 7 Control group in the article in 2025. Further investigation by the Publisher also identified integrity concerns regarding Figure 11 Microwave group.

As part of the investigation, the authors were asked for any information that would confirm the validity of Figures 7 and 11. Whilst the authors were cooperative, given the length of time elapsed since publication, the authors were unable to provide the original images.

However, following review, the Editor confirms that the concerns raised about Figures 7 and 11 does not affect the overall validity or integrity of the reported findings. We advise readers to interpret the information presented in Figures 7 and 11 with due caution.

The authors have been notified about this Expression of Concern. Should further information come to light, the journal will reassess any concern raised.
